Here's the step-by-step process to kickstart your journey as a nurse in Germany:
- Begin by mastering German at A1 and A2 levels.
- Engage in an interview with the employer at the Bl level.
- Secure a confirmed contract once you successfully pass the interview.
- While you’re applying for recognition at the nursing council of your respective state (known as Anerkennung), continue progressing with your language skills at B1 and B2 levels.
- For Indian Nurses, Anerkennung offers two options, as the degree isn’t directly recognized in Germany. You can opt for the Adaptation course (Anpassungslehrgang) or undertake the Knowledge Exam (Kenntnisprüfung) to work as a registered nurse.
- With the Anerkennung results in hand, apply for your visa.
- Commence your role as an assistant nurse with an earning potential of around 2100-2300 Euros per month. Simultaneously, get ready to tackle the Kenntnisprüfung.
- Triumph over the Kenntnisprüfung and step into the role of a registered nurse, enjoying an upgraded salary ranging from approximately 2800-3000 Euros per month.
