Process
Step-by-step path for Indian nurses

Step 01
Master German at A1 and A2 levels.

Step 02
Interview with the employer at B1 level.

Step 03
Secure a confirmed contract once you pass the interview.

Step 04
Apply for recognition (Anerkennung) at the nursing council of your state while continuing B1 and B2.

Step 05
Choose an adaptation course (Anpassungslehrgang) or the knowledge exam (Kenntnisprüfung), because an Indian degree is not recognised automatically.

Step 06
With Anerkennung results in hand, apply for your visa.

Step 07
Start as an assistant nurse at around EUR2,100-EUR2,300 a month while preparing for the Kenntnisprüfung.

Step 08
Pass the Kenntnisprüfung and work as a registered nurse at approximately EUR2,800-EUR3,000 a month.
